You may experience a little bruising and inflammation where the needle has punctured the skin, but this will naturally disappear after a while, just as any bruise would.

Unlike procedures such as surgical face lifts or implants, Profhilo requires no cuts, incisions or stitches to be made, although the procedure may involve some light pain or discomfort.

You can expect to see a more hydrated appearance immediately after treatment, and an overall improvement in the skin’s tone, texture and elasticity after eight weeks.

The results from Profhilo can last up to six months, but this can vary depending on the individual and their lifestyle choices. Looking after your skin by protecting it from the sun, following a good skincare regime, drinking lots of water and avoiding smoking and alcohol, may help to maintain your results for longer.

• Most people can continue with normal activities. Some will have some redness, pin prick marks. Bruising is possible.

• The product is injected in small ‘deposits’, you may be able to see them initially, but they settle usually within hours. It may be possible to feel the product where it has been injected under the skin. It will settle, there is no need to massage.

• Make-up should not be worn for 12 hours.

• You are advised to avoid alcohol and vigorous exercise for 48 hours.

• Avoid sun bathing, and extremes of heat or cold for 14 days post treatment.

• Any bruising may take a few days to appear, arnica can be helpful in clearing bruising. It is advisable to avoid aspirin and alcohol for 12-48 hours after treatment.

• Tenderness should settle as swelling and bruising goes down.

• You can lightly cleanse on the day of treatment using light pressure.

Controlled cooling is applied to targeted areas via suction cups. This process freezes the fat cells without harming surrounding tissue. The body naturally eliminates the destroyed cells over time through your Lymphatic drainage system.

Most clients find it comfortable. You may feel intense cold and suction initially but this settles quickly. You can relax during the treatment.

Some clients may experience mild bruising, especially in areas where the suction cups are applied. This completely normal and will fade over a short period of time. Bruising can vary depending on your skin sensitivity, hydration levels and circulation. It wont affect your results and is part of the body's natural response to the treatment.

Each session takes around 45 minutes. We allow an hour altogether so the treatment is not rushed. We also like to measure for before and after the treatment.

Some clients will notice an immediate change but optimal results will appear over 4-6 weeks as the treatment continues to work over time.

Most clients see a noticeable difference after one session but some areas may benefit from 2- 3 treatments. Courses will be available for long term contouring.

We recommend leaving at least 4 weeks between treatments on the same area. Fat freezing continues working for 4- 6 weeks after each session, as your body naturally eliminates the treated fat cells. For best results we usually advise one treatment per area per month, allowing time for visible changes to develop before your next session.

Yes- we can treat two areas in one session using our dual suction cup machine. For example, you can target both sides of the tummy or both arms at once. However we do not recommend treating more than two areas in a single session to ensure your body has time to safely process and eliminate the fat cells.

There's no downtime! You may experience mild redness, swelling or numbness in the area, but this fades quickly.

Yes! The fat cells destroyed will not return. However a healthy lifestyle is key to maintaining shape.

Yes- staying well hydrated is essential before and after fat freezing. Drinking plenty of water helps your lymphatic drainage system to flush out the damaged fat cells more effectively. We recommend increasing your water in take 48 hours before and maintaining good hydration for at least 2 week after treatment to support the natural detox process and improve results.

Unlike machines that blast cold air onto the skin, our device using suction cups that draw the fat into a controlled cooling chamber. This allows the cold to penetrate deeper, reaching the subcutaneous fat layer more effectively. As a result the treatment targets fat cells more precisely and delivers longer- lasting, visible results.

Cold air machines tend to work more superficially and may not provide the same level of contouring or fat reduction.

Absolutely. Fat freezing is a comfortable, non- invasive treatment. Once the suction cups are in place and the cooling process begins, you will have around 45 minutes to relax. You'll be treated in our candle lit salon space, with option to enjoy magazines, calming music, water/ herbal tea or simply switch off. Many clients use this time as a peaceful self care moment.
